It supports a 1-million-token context window, up to 128K output tokens, adaptive thinking by default and five effort levels from low to max. Anthropic deployed it to Claude, Claude Code, the Claude API and major cloud platforms on July 24, 2026; the API identifier is claude-opus-5.
